Zombie Infection Spreading

We’ve reported via Facebook of a spreading Zombie infection.  It is expected to reach the Saugerties region THIS SATURDAY.  Expect Zombies to flood the streets of Saugerties!

Here is a list of side effects from the CDC:

Stages of Infection
Stage One: Infection. Symptoms of zombie infection appear quickly: within one or two hours, the victim will develop a headache, fever, chills and other flu-like symptoms. The duration of the initial stage of zombie infections vary amongst individuals, most last between three and six hours, during which the cure is 100 percent effective.

Stage Two: Coma. Zombie comas are generally brief. While physiological changes include slowing pulse and shallow breathing, the coma usually lasts only between four and six hours. Only the very young and very old do not survive zombie comas. Zombies have been found as young as five
years old and as old as 90. The cure is 50 percent effective when administered during Stage Two of the infection: the longer the victim has been in the coma, the less effective the cure.

Stage Three: Transformation. Zombies awaken from their comas in a catatonic state. They are unresponsive to most stimuli as they shuffle about, trying to locate their prey. There is no acclimation period; a zombie will begin hunting immediately upon transformation.

Stage Four: Destruction. While the mechanism of action for reanimation is not yet fully understood, the method for termination is well documented. Destruction of the brain stem, including the medulla, pons, and reticular formation, along with the cerebellum, are imperative. Separation of the head from the body will not eliminate the threat. The heads of decapitated zombies remain animated and can still pass on the infection.

The “cure” they are discussing has yet to be developed.  As a compounding pharmacy, we have been given current research and have been asked to do our part.

We feel as though we are close.  We will be working in to the wee hours of the night to help fight the coming apocalypse.

More to come…
